The Internet Access service allows user devices and servers connected in the different offices and buildings belonging to the departments and autonomous bodies of the Government of Navarra, public companies included in CPEN, and public-sector organisations to have access to the Internet.

User devices may be desktop or laptop computers, and even other types of equipment that require an Internet connection. Servers must be located in the Government of Navarra’s CPDs.

There are different service modalities depending on the specific needs of each case.

Device access to the Internet is carried out securely through the connection to the local network where they are located, since the LAN data services and site connectivity allow Internet access through specific network services that traverse perimeter security elements located in the CPDs. Likewise, services published on the Internet by servers located in the CPDs traverse perimeter security elements to ensure information integrity and protect them from cyberattacks.

The registration and activation of Internet access services is implicit for all servers and corporate users with a standardised workstation, and in other cases it can be carried out through the procedures established for this purpose.

The service offers 24x7 support and is equipped with diversified access through different top-tier Internet providers.

All users from the departments of the Government of Navarra, Public Companies integrated into CPEN, and other organisations or foundations that, due to their public nature, are part of the Government of Navarra’s corporate network.

The Internet access service is based on the direct presence of Nasertic and the Government of Navarra on the Internet through the connection of their respective autonomous systems. This presence is established with geographically diversified direct connections to Tier 1 providers to ensure maximum service availability.

The Internet autonomous systems of Nasertic and the Government of Navarra are similar and consist of routers equipped with the BGP protocol. These routers are complemented by perimeter security elements and use links based on fibre‑optic data transmission or carrier transport services to connect to Internet providers.
