Both the Government of Navarre and Nasertic have their own autonomous systems for Internet access. This provides direct presence on the Internet and enables multi‑provider architectures with redundant solutions and geographically diverse topologies, ensuring maximum service availability. It also guarantees full independence from service providers regarding the management of public IP addressing and its visibility on the Internet, which simplifies potential modifications or changes of provider, architecture, publication, etc.
These systems are designed with a high‑availability architecture, implemented with dual devices in active‑active configuration, using communication protocols to distribute Internet traffic across the different links and providers available at any given time. Redundant topologies and physical links with geographic diversity are used, ensuring that each border device facing the Internet does not rely on a single connection.
These systems enable Internet communication for all users of the Government of Navarre’s Corporate Network and make visible all web content published by the Government of Navarre and the Public Companies integrated into CPEN.
The routers that make up the autonomous system provide Internet connectivity to users in public educational centres and to civil servants across all departments and autonomous bodies of the Government of Navarre, as well as public companies, amounting to over 100,000 users. In addition, they exchange with the Internet a daily volume of several terabytes of data, with line utilisation reaching close to 15 gigabits per second during peak times.
NASERTIC is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of these routers. This includes all activities related to documentation and inventory of components, monitoring and supervision, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance, as well as all configuration and upgrade tasks, capacity and availability management, and the preparation of proposals for evolution and improvement.
The continuous renewal and evolution of both software and equipment ensure a secure system, complemented by connections to perimeter security systems, all integrated into an architecture designed to maximise service availability and deliver the highest quality in the services provided.
The citizens of Navarre in general, as the web content published by the Government of Navarre and the Public Companies on their portals is supported by these systems.
All users of the departments of the Government of Navarre, the Public Companies integrated into CPEN, and other organisations or foundations that, due to their public nature, are part of the Government of Navarre’s corporate network and require Internet access.
