Nasertic’s server infrastructure is hosted and integrated within the Government of Navarre’s Data Processing Centers (DPCs), through which IT infrastructure virtualisation services are provided.

The infrastructure is configured in high availability and distributed across the Government of Navarre’s DPCs. It consists of virtualised compute systems that use high‑performance storage arrays, which are also replicated in real time between the DPCs. In this way, service continuity is ensured under different contingency scenarios, whether at the server, storage or DPC level.

The service follows “3‑2‑1” backup policies, a strategy designed to protect data by keeping three copies of the data, stored on two different types of media, with one of those copies located in a different physical site.

The infrastructure is protected by dual North‑South and East‑West firewall systems based on different technologies, and operates under the SOC (Security Operations Center) provided by the Government of Navarre through NASERTIC.

The service offers virtualised servers based on customer needs, with the characteristics defined in Nasertic’s technological infrastructure framework. Servers include a standardised and secured operating system, anti‑malware protection, defined security policies, and strict patching cycles. The infrastructure is flexible and scalable, enabling it to adapt to customer requirements.

It features a secure access system (VPN client, two‑factor authentication and password policy) for the diverse range of providers, ensuring the safe execution of deployment, maintenance and support tasks for applications installed on the servers.

The infrastructure is available to the Public Companies of the Navarre Public Business Corporation (CPEN) and to Government of Navarre–dependent bodies.

The users of the Public Companies of the Navarre Public Business Corporation (CPEN) and the bodies dependent on the Government of Navarre, as well as the entities or citizens served by these Public Companies or public bodies.

The main technologies associated with the server infrastructure are:

1. Virtualisation:

Enables the deployment of multiple virtual machines on the same physical infrastructure, optimising resources, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

2. Security

  • Antivirus protection.

  • Perimeter protection.

  • Two‑factor authentication.

  • Physical security associated with the DPCs (alarm, video surveillance, access control, fire protection, etc.).

  • Backup (data backups)

3. Monitoring

Technologies that enable monitoring of the infrastructure’s health at the server, network and security levels.

The infrastructure associated with the service is supported by Infrastructure Services, whose main components are:

  1. Data Centers (DPCs) of the Government of Navarre

  2. Perimeter protection systems: dual North–South and East–West perimeter protection using different technologies.

  3. Next‑generation servers providing compute capacity.

  4. Storage: high‑performance storage arrays replicated in high availability, together with a data protection system.

  5. Communications network: software‑defined networking (SDN) solution that allows the application of security policies specifically designed for the DPCs.

  6. Backup system with 3‑2‑1 policies
