The Government brings the Mobile Citizen Service Office to depopulated municipalities to promote territorial cohesion

The Government of Navarra’s Mobile Citizen Service Office is operating today in Petilla de Aragón with the aim of “bringing basic services closer to communities facing depopulation challenges,” said the Director General of Local Administration and Depopulation, Jesús María Rodríguez, who visited the office accompanied by Luis Campos, Managing Director of Nasertic, the public company attached to the Department of Presidency and Equality.

“All citizens have the right to receive basic services wherever they live,” stated Rodríguez, placing the Mobile Citizen Service Office within the policies that promote territorial equity and cohesion. In this regard, he announced that the service will continue travelling across Navarra, paying special attention to the smallest municipalities and key regional towns. The next visit of the Mobile Citizen Service Office will be to Sangüesa / Zangoza from 29 July to 1 August, from 9:00 to 14:15.

The Mobile Citizen Service Office is designed to guarantee equitable access to basic services in municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants. The goal is to avoid unnecessary travel and make it easier for citizens to complete administrative procedures in a direct, agile and personalised manner.

Since March 2024, when the office was launched, it has visited more than twenty municipalities. Fifty-two percent of the interventions have been related to obtaining digital certificates and access credentials for public services. These are followed by informational queries and support with online procedures.

The mobile office allows people to carry out a wide range of procedures and address issues related to the regional administration. Citizens can access general information on services, programmes and aid offered by the Government of Navarra; obtain accreditation in the Cl@ve system; receive their digital certificate; register documentation; request assistance with online procedures; apply for the Youth Card, various types of aid, or access the Personal Health Folder; and process licences.
