Nearly 1,600 Companies Have Benefited from IRIS Navarra’s Services in 2025

The 40 public-private stakeholders that make up the Steering Committee and the Plenary of the IRIS Navarra Digital Innovation Hub met this morning to analyse the results of the actions carried out by this entity in 2025 and to learn about new collaborations, synergies and the lines of action that will be developed in the coming months.

The President of IRIS Navarra and Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Juan Luis García, welcomed all attendees. In his remarks, the Minister highlighted that “IRIS Navarra is today a physical hub, a cutting-edge facility, a space of talent and collaboration that is already generating projects and initiatives that will mark a turning point in Navarra.” García also announced that this week a new agreement with IRIS Navarra will be approved, consolidating the public-private collaboration model launched years ago: “This agreement strengthens the open nature of the Hub, which provides infrastructure, training, guidance and services to enhance the competitiveness of our SMEs and industrial sector, offer better services to citizens, and contribute to the economic and social development of this region through innovation and digitalisation.”

Along the same lines, Mikel Irujo Amezaga, Vice President of IRIS Navarra and Minister of Industry and Ecological and Business Digital Transition, underlined that “the public-private collaboration model is key to strengthening Navarra’s business ecosystem and ensuring that the Hub remains close to companies.” He also stressed that the aim of the Hub “is to create competitive companies by improving their business or production processes, products or services through digital technologies.”

During the event, the Coordinator of IRIS Navarra, Ion Arrizabalaga, presented the results of the 2025 Annual Management Plan. Among them, he highlighted that 1,573 companies have benefited from the services available in the IRIS Navarra Hub’s catalogue. Currently, the catalogue offers a total of 173 digital services offered by 98 accredited  technology companies with operations in Navarra. So far this year, the one-stop shop has received 902 enquiries, which have resulted in 509 services provided. As for the physical headquarters, whose co-working area is now at 94% capacity, it has hosted a total of 65 events since its opening on 4 March this year.

During the plenary, details were presented of a collaborative project to be carried out between IRIS Navarra, the Navarra Business Confederation (CEN) and ATANA (Navarra’s Technology and Consultancy Cluster) to drive digital transformation within the region’s business fabric through business associations. Izaskun Gutiérrez, Head of IT at CEN; Cristina García, Managing Director of ATANA; and Juan Narro, specialist technician at IRIS Navarra, explained the planned actions to offer free digitalisation consultancy to companies and strengthen Navarra’s ICT sector.

A discussion also took place, moderated by Gorka García, Managing Director of the NAIR Center, on “Lines of Action in Artificial Intelligence in Navarra,” featuring experts and specialists from different IRIS Navarra stakeholders: Mikel Galar (UPNA), Eva Fontecha (Chamber of Commerce), Diego Garrido (ADITech), Óscar Rived (ATANA), Izaskun Echeverria (NASERTIC), and Ion Arrizabalaga (IRIS Navarra).

To conclude, Paula Remírez, Director of the Service for Modernisation and Innovation in Vocational Training, delivered a presentation on how IRIS Lab and its equipment are already contributing to the digitalisation of Vocational Training in Navarra.
