Over 2,000 companies benefited in 2025 from IRIS Navarra Hub Services, provided by nearly one hundred navarrese technology providers

The 40 public‑private stakeholders that make up the Plenary of the IRIS Navarra Digital Innovation Hub met this morning to analyse the results for 2025—the first year after the headquarters’ opening and the launch of IRIS Lab—as well as to review the lines of work and priorities included and approved in the 2026 Annual Management Plan.

The session was opened by the Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation and President of IRIS Navarra, Juan Luis García, who highlighted that “the IRIS Navarra Hub is already a benchmark in innovation and digitalisation—a place that accelerates the transformation of our companies, concentrates local knowledge and connects us with Europe. The more than 2,000 companies that benefited in 2025 from the services provided by nearly one hundred Navarrese technology providers are proof that innovation and digitalisation help increase Navarra’s competitiveness.”

In the same vein, the Minister of Industry and Ecological and Business Digital Transition and Vice President of IRIS Navarra, Mikel Irujo, underlined that “the Digital Innovation Hub offers our business community resources and training in digitalisation, synthetic biology and advanced technology, among other services. This is the goal of the Hub: to provide services to companies and students to advance the digital transformation of our time— and that is precisely what it has been doing.”

During the Plenary, the results for 2025 were presented, showing that IRIS Navarra exceeded 91% of the target indicators in its dashboard. Among the main milestones were the broad offering of more than 220 digital services; the handling of more than 900 enquiries, which resulted in 330 contracted services; and the high level of activity at its headquarters which, since its opening in March 2025, has hosted more than one hundred sessions and events, consolidating itself as a meeting point for Navarra’s innovation and digital transformation ecosystem, with more than 1,000 attendees over the past twelve months.

In addition, the 2026 Annual Management Plan—approved by the Steering Committee on 27 January—was presented, setting out the main lines of action for the IRIS Navarra Hub for the coming year, 20 in total, aimed at strengthening support for companies and organisations, expanding the impact of the services catalogue and continuing to promote the use of IRIS Lab as a strategic infrastructure for digitalisation in Navarra. Among the various lines, actions such as boosting the IRIS Hub’s presence in Europe and working on the 2027–2030 Strategic Plan stand out.

Likewise, several initiatives of interest in the field of digital innovation were presented. Pablo Echamendi, Director of the SIT department at Tracasa Instrumental, and Jone Ezcurra, Innovation Engineer at Tracasa, presented progress on the TwiN project in the area of digital twins. Marta Silvero, Executive Director of Fundación BAI, delivered a talk on the current framework for industrialisation, robotisation and innovation in the construction sector. Finally, Uxue Itoiz, Managing Director of CEIN, presented the updates on the new space for technological entrepreneurship and innovation, Hirugarrena, which will be located on the 3rd floor of El Sario, sharing the building with the IRIS Navarra Hub.
