Industry will showcase Navarre’s potential at the CISCE fair, the largest components event in Asia, taking place next week in Beijing.
The Department of Industry and Business Ecological and Digital Transition of the Government of Navarre will take part next week in the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) to showcase the potential of Navarre’s industry through business meetings, networking sessions, and presentations.
The mission has been organised under the International Plan of Navarre (PIN) and will include a delegation from the Government of Navarre led by the Minister of Industry, Mikel Irujo; the Director General for Business Promotion and Infrastructure, Iñigo Arruti; and the Director of the International Projection Service, Miren Ausín. It will also include participation from the Navarre Development Society (SODENA), the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER), and the companies Lizarte and Gurpea Group.
In addition, more than 400 Navarre-based companies will be represented thanks to the presence of the public company Navarra Business and Innovation Centre (CEIN), as well as four clusters: the Navarra Health Cluster (NHC), the Navarre Association of Technology and Consultancy Companies (ATANA), the Navarra Construction Industrialisation Cluster (iCONS), and the Navarre Audiovisual Cluster (CLAVNA).
Minister Irujo highlighted that “this fair is part of the intense work that the Department of Industry has been carrying out for several years to bring our companies closer to China, as well as to attract companies to our region.” “This work has led to agreements such as the establishment of the Hithium battery factory,” he stressed.
This and other success stories, as well as a comprehensive presentation of the strengths of Navarre’s industrial sector, will be showcased during the fair on “Navarre Day.” This institutional and networking event will include the participation of Navarre-based companies operating in China, as well as Spanish institutions present in the country—including the Embassy of Spain and ICEX. The aim is to foster contact, mutual understanding, and the identification of collaboration opportunities.
Mission in Shenzhen
Participation in CISCE will be complemented by a mission to the Chinese region of Shenzhen, considered the global capital of technological entrepreneurship. This mission will involve the public company CEIN, the Navarre digital innovation hub (IRIS), the research centre NAIR Center, CENER, and the companies Lizarte, Gurpea, Luar Technology, Innoup Farma, NR Electrónica, Das-Nano, Arandovo, and HR Motor.
In this context, one of the key events will be the “Navarre-Longhua Forum on Innovation, Industry and Strategic Relations in the Greater Bay Area,” scheduled for June 24 and organised by the Department of Industry within the framework of the International Plan of Navarre.
In addition, a delegation will take part in visits to technological centres in fields such as robotics and biotechnology with the aim of strengthening ties. This group will be led by the First Vice President and Minister for the Presidency and Equality of the Government of Navarre, Javier Remírez, and will also include the Director General for Science, Technology and Innovation, Agurtzane Martínez, along with members of NASERTIC and the Centre for Applied Medical Research (CIMA).
