NASERTIC is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the television broadcasting equipment, consisting mainly of transmitters and gap fillers in 63 Telecommunications Centres and 57 cable distribution networks. The objective is to provide DTT broadcasting services in Zone II of the Chartered Community of Navarre, for the national, regional, and local DTT multiplexes defined for Navarre in the National Technical Plan for DTT.

To accomplish this, NASERTIC carries out all activities related to the documentation and inventory of components, monitoring and supervision, request and incident management, administration and management of physical and logical resources, and preventive, corrective, and proactive maintenance. It also performs all configuration or upgrade tasks, capacity and availability management, including the preparation of proposals for evolution and improvement. 

The elements that form part of this infrastructure are grouped into:

Broadcasting.

  • DTT transmitters and gap fillers corresponding to the multiplexes Autonómico, RGE1, RGE2, MPE1, MPE2, MPE3, MPE4, and MPE5.

  • Transmission/reception antenna systems.

  • Multiplexers and transmitter/receiver antenna systems associated with TV equipment.

  • Dishes and satellite receivers.

  • GPS equipment for signal synchronisation associated with DTT transmitters.

  • Monitoring and alarm supervision equipment. 

  • Signal distribution cabling.

  • CATV and/or FTTH headend, active equipment (RF amplifiers), coaxial/optical fibre cabling, and user receivers/outlets corresponding to the cable distribution networks.

Signal transport.

  • Network electronics.

  • DTT signal encoders.

  • IP-ASI and ASI-IP signal network adapters.

  • Microwave radio links for transport.

  • WAN transport equipment — Carrier Ethernet over optical fibre.

  • Channel processor equipment corresponding to the multiplexes Autonómico, RGE1, RGE2, MPE1, MPE2, MPE3, MPE4, and MPE5.

  • Receiving antennas associated with the TV channel processors.

Power supply systems

  • Electrical supply.

  • Energy backup systems (generators, UPS, rectifiers, and batteries).

Provision of DTT broadcasting services in Coverage Extension Zone II of the Chartered Community of Navarre. Includes:

  • Broadcasting from 12 Telecommunications Centres and 57 cable distribution networks for the channels corresponding to the RGE1 multiplex of the public broadcaster RTVE.

  • Broadcasting from 50 Telecommunications Centres and 57 cable distribution networks for the channels corresponding to the RGE2 multiplex of the public broadcaster RTVE, and for the MPE1, MPE2, MPE3, MPE4, and MPE5 multiplexes corresponding to private broadcasters.

  • Broadcasting from 63 Telecommunications Centres and 57 cable distribution networks for the regional channel.

  • Broadcasting from 6 Telecommunications Centres for the channels corresponding to local coverage areas.
